Introduction Zelda Planet, just turning 9 years old, covers the entire Zelda series and also has additional sections for
fans. Despite their many years on the web, they do have some aspects they may want to work on.
Positive Remarks Zelda Planet covers a large audience, trying to bring in fans who both enjoy facts, and fan works. Surprisingly,
there are a number of fan submissions for each section and the gaming sections are, for the most part,
filled with a number of guides. I also like the skin on the forums and the Oekaki drawing board is kind of neat as well.
Criticisms The biggest problem with Zelda Planet is that you can tell it has come on harder times by simply looking at it. The few updates
they still have only contain bits of Nintendo news and occasionally some community news. I'm almost certain I saw the
same featured artwork there the first time I visited Zelda Planet a looooong time ago. The sleepy message boards
are not appealing, only gaining a few posts a day, and the site's overall layout needs to be changed. The ad at
the top of the page is quite obnoxious as well. From the looks
of the gaming content, I'd say the site fell apart inbetween the release of Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass.
Twilight Princess is missing a few guides (Poe's, howling stones, etc.) and Phantom Hourglass barely has any content
at all. Their encyclopedia is also missing numerous entries and isn't all that useful in the first place.
Conclusion While this review may seem harsh, frankly, it's the initial impression I received when first visiting Zelda Planet. A site
with 9 years under their belt could be so much better, but unfortunately it has fallen into disrepair. My suggestion would be to update more,
improve the quality of your content, and revamp the site's layout. Your site can still be excellent, but only
if you're willing to work for it.
